The name of my book is “The Happiness Tree. You can download it from free from Smashwords, here: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/620747 Here is a little description:
My inspiration for the “Happiness Tree” arose from my belief that Nature has provided us with all the tools we will need to create and sustain happiness. Those resources are waiting in our subconscious to be unpacked and put to use. But the “artificial” or small case “self” which is given top billing through our thoughts, only serves to drive a wedge between our outer lives and the hardwiring of our deep, primordial Self.
The core of my vision revolves around stripping away that veneer to reveal the ancient, inner Self that exists before thought, before programming. The wild self, if you will that is available to support us with decisiveness, wisdom, confidence, self love, purpose, etc. And we do this through several means. Primarily “Creativity”. By creating, we are emulating Nature, the ultimate creator. That creative process taps into the very engine of life itself that resides within us all. -Shane
Shane, thanks for sharing your book. You are so generous.
Discontent drives Gordon to hitchhike into town from his home in the city dump. There he learns there’s no place like home, no matter how humble that home may be. This book teaches us to be happy with our circumstances. This is a rhyming book.

So glad. Thank you.
The children’s book I wrote is called “Am I Ready Now?” and was illustrated by the talented RJ Shay. It is about a little boy named Louie who is getting ready to go to kindergarten. Louie is a spunky, 5 year old, who thinks he’s ready to start school. But, his mom keeps telling him “No,” and that he still needs to practice tying his shoes, remember bathroom etiquette, and more! The “twist” at the end has left many moms and dads in tears while they prepare themselves and their kids for the Big Day! Even if your child is not going to kindergarten, it’s a great back to school book for any age!

The two books that I have written and illustrated were inspired by the creatures all around us.

Behind the Garden Leaves is about the animals/bugs found in my garden.
The Forest Wakes Up is about my experience, early one morning out in the woods, watching the animals waking up and starting their day.
Thanks for posting! These books look amazing! Can’t wait to read them.
Vivaldi and the Invisible Orchestra is sure to be a favorite especially if musically inclined but even if not. Also, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons can be listened to at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbpAFzyrx5o
My story Oscars Adventures in the Woods teaches the lesson of keeping wild pets like turtles in the house letting them go because they need to be free to roam a true story of a turtle that was released accidentally and returned back to the woods.

Just read aloud to my son a wonderful vocabulary-builder . . . The Boy Who Loved Words by Roni Schotter.
A GREAT all-inclusive, wide-reaching, and morally-uplifting good book that comes to mind is this one: “The Book of Virtues” by William J. Bennett. I highly recommend it!
Thanks so much for the recommendation.
Raymond Arroyo fills Will Wilder: The Relic of Perilous Falls with adventure, intrigue and suspense. Outstanding descriptions! Very well written with humor interwoven between clues, evidence, and facts. Truly a work of genius! Not only will the reader devour Will Wilder many times but also, won’t want to miss the audio version where Mr. Arroyo’s voice brings each character to life. Will Wilder: The Relic of Perilous Falls entertains and challenges each person to fight evil as well as improve the world.
Snow by Cynthia Rylant
A beautiful book celebrating the beauty of snowfall and its happy effects on children. Reminds me of how much fun my siblings and I had playing outside on a snow day, then warming up afterwards inside with hot chocolate and a good board game!
You are going to have us all wishing for more snow. Thank you!

My children enjoyed the Vancouver Symphony rendition of Peter and the Wolf at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4ZHPiHzeAE.
The conductor does a fabulous job of telling the story with expression and explaining. We had the book Peter & the Wolf retold & illustrated by Ian Beck out of the library and did a quick search for background music and what a delight!
Another good resource for anyone in the workplace is “Good to Great” by Jim Collins. Despite its business focus, some of the messages in the book (particularly the one regarding humility) are applicable in all aspects of our lives.
The book “Crucial Conversations” is a good one for adults. A great resource for anyone in the work place.
Thank you. Excellent recommendation.
Book: Railroad Hank by Lisa Moser
My children have not laughed as much or as heartily for any other book! Thank you!
